Wheel Impact Detection and Profile Measuring

Wheel Impact Detection and Profile Measuring collects track and vehicle performance data using strain gauges attached to the web of the rail between sleeper supports.

Data includes detail on train speed, weight, axle loadings and peak wheel loads (impact forces).

Alarms are sent via modem to railroad personnel when pre-set wheel load thresholds are exceeded.
